As a licensed clinical social worker with 20+ years of experience working with individuals, couples and families, I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals. I am a graduate of the Masters in Social Work program from Salisbury University, Maryland with formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Living Therapy, and other evidence based and trauma informed therapies. I consistently utilize strength based and trauma focused therapy in my work with couples and adults of all ages, including young adults and college students. You may have tried counseling before, you may feel that you have tried everything, but I believe my own lived experience and down to earth approach allows me to help you in a unique way. I want to help you move beyond just "getting by", and "stuffing it down" to enjoying being YOU!
I understand the greatest change can come from life’s most uncomfortable moments and through shared conversations with others. I deeply care about people and believe we can all be and feel the way that we desire.
Long distance running doubles as my passion and my outlet. When not working, you will likely find me running, and then running some more! One of my most recent running milestones is qualifying for and completing the Boston Marathon, twice.
I believe the foundation of a strong sense of self and relationship with others is grounded in nature. My goal is to provide individualized care to adults that fits your exact needs.
You can find me outside in nature gardening, traveling, hiking and enjoying the water. There are vast similarities in the challenges presented in the outdoors and in life. I find that my connection to nature has led me to this career delivering personalized therapy. Some therapeutic modalities include:
